Post Office in Ringsted; When?

By Del Matheson

The following message was received from Del Matheson on an old Post Office in Ringsted. Anyone with any insight to the photo can contact him at :
This is an “unknown” location of the Ringsted Post Office early in the 1900s. For most of the years since 1900, the physical post office has been located on the north side of Main Street toward the west end. I’m guessing that this site was the second building east of Oscar’s Café in the early years. Does anyone recognize these two people who obviously worked there? Maybe they were ancestors of yours. I can’t imagine Andy Anderson ever looking like this fellow. The grill work in the service wicket indicates that this is the “PO” (Post Office). Note that the walls and ceiling are covered with bead board.
