The Emmet County Board of Supervisors at its regular meeting Tuesday, March 13 deferred action on three proposed bike routes in the county.
By: Clint Davis On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, the Armstrong Police Department was dispatched to Main Street for a nude male running around the business district in Armstrong. The male was at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 7th Street. After arrival to the scene the suspect was identified as Dalton Sathoff of Armstrong.
As economists – and party leaders – debate the relative merits of President Donald Trump’s proclamation levying a 25 tariff on steel imports, a major manufacturer in Armstrong continues to keep a finger on the pulse of the steel market to determine any future possible impact on the cost of production.
“I have not given up hope but what my husband was saved in some way,” Carrie Toogood Chaffee told a Minneapolis newspaper reporter in April 1912.
A public hearing was held regarding the City of Bancroft purchasing 6.15 acres for CDBG Lagoon Project on Monday, March 12. Also at the this time, Jason Petersburg, engineer for Veenstra and Kimm gave an overview of the upcoming Lagoon Project.
Iowans submitted nearly 9,200 nominations between February 12 – March 12 to kick off the quest to find the best burger in Iowa. Nominations were accepted online by the Iowa Beef Industry Council and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association. The number of votes each restaurant received determined the 2018 Top Ten restaurants.
