The Emmet County Nature Center east of Wallingford since its inception has been a hallmark of nature displays since the building was first constructed about 10 years ago. Since then, steady improvements have made the Nature Center a great showcase of what nature has to offer in Emmet County.

Braden Ortman, Bancroft Water Superintendent, was presented the Water Fluoridation Quality Award for 2017 by I-Smile coordinator Lezah Hanson.    The certificate reads as follows: The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention commends this water system for its consistent and professional adjustment of the fluoride content to the recommended level for oral health for 12 consecutive months in 2017.
The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention has awarded the City of Bancroft’s water system with a Water Fluoridation Quality Award for 2017. This was presented to Braden Ortman, city water superintendent during the Bancroft City Council meeting on November 5.

Armstrong Drug Bust

The Armstrong Police Department had help from Matt Reinke and Max. In the photo you can see Matt and Max sitting with the Methamphetamine that was recovered which led to two arrests in Armstrong.
