Walter L. Boever, the son of Manfred and Florence (Schwartz) Boever, was born August 17, 1946, in Swea City, Iowa. He passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, at the age of 70.

He received his education in the Swea City Schools, graduating from Swea City High School. Walt later attended Sheldon Vocational College for plumbing and HVAC. He served in the US Navy from 1964 – 1967 on the U.S.S. Recovery navel ship stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.

On July 16, 1977, Walt was united in marriage to Beverly Mart in Armstrong. Walt was a self-employed plumber operating Boever Plumbing and Heating in Armstrong for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Walt was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armstrong; Armstrong VFW; and Ringsted American Legion. He enjoyed volunteering for suppers and fundraisers and marching in the Memorial Day Parades.

Left to cherish Walt's memory are his children, Jeff Boever of Eagan, Minnesota; Jennifer (Boever) O'Connor, husband, Tim O'Connor of Owatonna, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Logan, Shaun, and Evan; Niece Tammy (Boever) Reid Aunt Betty, and Uncle Jim Smith, Aunt Evelyn Johnson, Aunt Rose Schwartz, and Uncle Fritz Schwartz, Aunt Betty Boever, several cousins.

Preceding Walt in death were his parents, grandparents, brother, wife, and several aunts and uncles.
