HyVee in Fairmont announced on September 11th on Facebook that they will no longer be a 24-hour store. The store announced that starting September 30th, 2019 they will be open from 5 a.m.

Iowa House District 7 Representative Tedd Gassman of Scarville has announced that he will not seek reelection to the seat he has held since 2012.
The North Union School Board met briefly for their August 26 meeting.
