Leo F. Luers, the son of Fred and Maude (Fog) Luers, was born April 9, 1935, in Burns, Wyoming. He died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 82.

Leo served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1959.

On August 16, 1958 he was united in marriage to Luella Hagen at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Ceylon. Leo drove truck for 12 years and worked at Arts Way Manufacturing for 24 years. For hobbies, he enjoyed woodworking. Luella died January 22, 2012.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ringsted.

Left to cherish Leo's memory are two children, Leland Luers of Estherville, Loris Morris both of Ringsted; and granddaughter, Lacey (Andrew) Sorrell of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

He has been preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three brothers, Donald, Herman and Lyle.
