Margaret Helen (Enderson) Manley, the daughter of Ole and Mary (Smith) Enderson, was born January 30, 1920, in Forest City, Iowa. She passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at her home in Armstrong, Iowa, at the age of 96.

She received her education in the Forest City schools.

On April 9, 1939, Margaret was united in marriage to George Manley in Estherville, Iowa. Following their marriage the couple made their home in the Armstrong area where they began raising their family and were engaged in farming. Along with being a mom, farm wife, Margaret also was employed as a part time cook in the Armstrong school district for 12 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. One of Margaret's favorite outings was traveling on the bus with friends to various casinos. Most important to Margaret was spending time with family and friends. George died April 11, 2006.

Margaret was a member of United Methodist Church in Armstrong where she was active in UMW and church circles. She also enjoyed being a member of the Birthday Club in Armstrong.

Left to cherish Margaret's memory are her children, Tom Manley and his wife, Joanne of Armstrong; Sharon Aanonson and her husband, Orin of Estherville; Kenneth Manley of Armstrong; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She has been preceded in death by her husband; two grandson's, Aaron and Orin Jr.; great-granddaughter, Rayne; her parents; brothers, George, Orville, Duey, Arthur, Clarence; sisters, Myrtle Payne and Anna Fox and step-sister, Naomi Fisher.
