ARMSTRONG—Bishop Garrigan and North Union hooked up in an entertaining Top of Iowa Conference volleyball match on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The home team started fast in the conference match winning the first game 25-17 and the second set by the score of 25-22 before the black-and-gold to take game number three by the count of 25-15.
LAKE MILLS—Running back Bryer Prochniak rushed for 266 yards and scored five touchdowns to lead the North Union Warriors football team on Friday, Sept. 17 to a 44-12 Class A district win over the Lake Mills Bulldogs.
Charles Kennedy and Teresa Kennedy, owners of Farmers & Traders Savings Bank, are excited to announce they plan to sell their bank to Fidelity Bank & Trust, an Iowa based banking organization. Majority ownership of Fidelity Bank & Trust is held by the James R. Kennedy Family of Dubuque. The sale is pending regulatory approval.
The Armstrong City Council Monday night held a public hearing and approved an amended budget that took into account continuing funding of large water and sewer projects and anticipation of local option sales and franchise revenues coming due in fiscal 2022.
