Joleen was born in Estherville, Iowa to Dwight and Marcella Wiseman. Joleen grew up in Ringsted, Iowa where she graduated from Ringsted High school. She then attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. Where she received her Degree in music/ teaching.
Joleen started her career as a Music teacher in Council Bluffs, Iowa and continued her teaching career in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Germany to teach music at Sembach Elementary and then moved to teach at Ramstein Air force Base schools. She worked at Ramstein until her Retirement in 2018.
As a child Joleen loved to swim. Joleen started playing the piano and singing at a young age. Because of her beautiful voice she performed in many musicals, sang for many weddings, and was a director and member of choirs in the churches she attended over the years. Joleen enjoyed shopping and collecting antiques! One of her favorite things to purchase was Russian Boxes for her collection.
After retiring from teaching Joleen moved to San Antonio, Texas where she lived until her passing.
Joleen is preceded in death by her parents Dwight and Marcella, grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles. Joleen is survived by her sister Virginia Rosenberg (James)of Colorado Springs, CO. Nieces Lisa Rosenberg of Colorado Springs, CO. and Kelly Foster (Robert) Of Ramsey, MN. Great Nephews Andrew Rosenberg (Ocairi), Garrett Foster (Marissa). Great Niece Brianna Foster, and many close friends.
A service will be held at a later date. In consideration of Joleen’s love for both cats and music, memorials can be sent to your local cat rescue or music program in her name.
