Emily Ann Eisenmann, was born on November 8, 1940 in Britt, Iowa to Otto and Alice (Smidt) Dallman. She passed away on February 8, 2023, at her home in Swea City, Iowa at the age of 82 years.

She grew up and attended country school until the 8th grade and then went to Britt High School. She married Paul Eisenmann on January 24, 1958, in Buffalo Center at the United Methodist Church. They moved to a family farm near Swea City, where their three sons were raised.

Through the years, besides working on the farm and being a farm wife and mother, Emily worked various jobs, including the Blue Earth Green Giant seasonally and the Blue Earth Hospital and nursing home.

Emily was a 4-H leader, on the Swea City council, and attended lots of school activities for her sons.

Her most important role was wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all.

She had a love for flowers, gardening, auctions, antique stores, and shopping. She was a hardworking, very generous, and loving person who had a good sense of humor and loved to see people laugh.

Emily had many good times, but in joy or sorrow her faith in her God brought her though it all. She was a member of the E/R church in Ledyard, but when she lived in Swea City, she attended the First United Methodist church where she was very active.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Alan (Shelly) of Green City, MO, Jeff of Swea City, IA, and Scott (Pat) of Moreland, GA; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Don (Dorothy) Dallman, Britt, IA, and Louis (Kay) Dallman, Kanawha, IA; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Emily is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eisenmann, her parents, her good friend, Arden Kramersmeier, daughter-in-law, Julie Eisenmann, and sister Beverly (Eugene) Huff.

Emily’s family suggests memorials to the Swea City Historical Society, 108 Highway P30 S, Swea City, Iowa 50590.
