 Memorial Service for Beverly A. Eggerth, age 93, of Swea City, IA, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Swea City Community Church, formerly First United Methodist Church, with interment in Harrison Township Cemetery in rural Swea City.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Beverly passed away on Thursday morning at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville, IA.  The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont, MN, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Beverly Eggerth was born on April 19, 1931, to John and Lila (Knutson) Lunn on a farm near Swea City.   She graduated from Swea City High School with the class of 1949.

On March 14, 1950, Beverly married Marlin Henry Eggerth at the Methodist Church in Fairmont, MN. They lived in the Swea City area during their entire marriage. Henry was killed in a plane crash on September 16, 1962. Beverly continued to live on the farm and raise their 4 daughters until she eventually moved into town in Swea City.

Beverly worked in Swea City at the bank as a teller/bookkeeper for approximately 40 years.

She was an active member of the Methodist Church in Swea City, serving as church treasurer along with being a circle member and attending adult Sunday School. Beverly also helped at the Miss Kossuth-Winnebago Pageant as a bookkeeper/ballot counter. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, bowling, playing cards, having coffee in Swea City, and Friday night suppers with friends.

She is survived by her four daughters, Carol Campbell, Peggy (Scott) Thompson, Donna (John) Roper, and Patti (Kurt) Kienitz; Grandchildren, Daniel Dolf, Erin (Jenny) Campbell, Kent (Sara Larsen) Roper, David (Jade) Roper, Jenny (Brian Risch) Roper, Sonja (Brian) Klaas, Brandon (Clara) Kienitz; Great-grandchildren, Ashlea (Levi) Witt, Cody Dolf, Mikayla (Shawn) Howe, Benjamin Roper, Mckenna Roper, Charles Roper, Bo Risch, Riley Kienitz, Pierce Kienitz, Mitchell Klaas, Elaina Klaas, Sawyer Kienitz, and Sidney Kienitz; Great-great grandchildren, Averie Witt, Aria Howe, and Charley Howe; sisters, Marlys Harmon, Mariam Whitehead, and Susan Vriese; brother, Robert (Sue) Lunn; and sisters-in-law, Erna Lunn, Sandy Lunn, and Lois Eggerth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Richard Lunn, Dennis Lunn, and Ronald Lunn; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Whitehead and Dale Vriese; grandson, Brian Dolf; and great-grandson, Matthew Campbell.
