Jean Hansen, was born on May 22, 1959 in Estherville, Iowa to Lawrence E. and Doreen (Peters) Hansen. She passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Algona Manor Care Center at the age of 63.
Jean donated her body to the University of Iowa Medical School to help educate our future medical professionals. A graveside service will be held for Jean when she has completed her teaching assignment.
Jean attended school in Burt. In 1975 Jean moved to Exceptional Opportunities in Burt and worked at the Activity Center there. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Jean loved Pizza Hut pizza, Pepsi pop, and playing her piano. Her favorite jobs were shredding paper and sorting pop cans. She loved riding in the front seat in the car. Jean recently moved to the Algona Manor.
Jean is survived by her brothers Paul (Patricia) Hansen of Coos Bay, Oregon and Larry Hansen of Vernal, Utah.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Doreen Hansen.
