Funeral Service for Leslie Wayne Studer was held at the Swea City Community Church, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 with Pastor Todd Hartsock as officiant.
Military Rites were given by the United States Navy Honor Squad and American Legion Post 14, Swea City, Iowa.
Leslie Wayne Studer, was born on October 17, 1943. He died on February 10, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont, MN at the age of 81 years.
Les graduated from high school in 1961 before enlisting in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1986.
Les married Rebecca Fulton on July 11, 1981, and to this union, two children were born, Daniel and Stacey.
After his time in the military, Les worked for the Department of Justice in IT for the US Attorney’s Office in Cleveland, OH and Huston, TX. He travelled all over the country setting up offices.
In 2004, Les and Becky moved to Swea City, where Les was very active in the American Legion and the Swea City Community Church. He was very community minded and could often be found helping put up the flags in the park, serving at the pancake breakfast or ushering at the church.
Les is survived by his wife, Becky Studer of Swea City; his son, Daniel Studer; daughter, Stacey Marie (Wiley) Patterson; sister-in-law Bonnie (Robert) Madaras; niece, Karen Anne Loges; and his best friend, Mike Donnelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
